Drug Arrest 09/24/2017
On 24 September 2017 Officers of the Rainsville Police Department had received a complaint of possible drug dealing from a residence on Deerman Ave. An investigation was begun and officers made a traffic stop at a residence on Deerman Ave in Rainsville, AL. From the traffic stop officers secured enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for the residence and a executed a search of the premises. From the search of the residence an additional 9.2 oz of marijuana was recovered. The marijuana was packaged in 33 individual bags for resale. Both occupants were arrested and charged. Drug paraphernalia was also seized from the home. In the search of the home an illegal shotgun was recovered. The shotgun was 10 ½ inch barrel and no serial numbers. A third person was arrested on 25 September 2017 in connection with the shotgun.
